Hello!

My name is Lisa Åhlström, and I’m from Gothenburg. During my high school years, I studied technology, which sparked my interest in engineering. During my gap year, I had the opportunity to travel and participate in the “tekniksprånget” program, which involved paid internships for four months. It allowed me to explore the field of engineering even more, and that’s when I decided that this was what I wanted to pursue.

I chose to study at Chalmers University of Technology, specializing in Industrial Management and Production Engineering, and later earned a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Design. During my time as a student, I also had the chance to study abroad in Seoul, South Korea. I was actively involved in various student organizations and committees at Chalmers. One of my commitments was with CHARM, Chalmers Student Union’s career fair, where I had the opportunity to meet several companies, including GKN Aerospace. That’s when my interest in the company began to grow.

A year later, at the CHARM fair, I had more discussions with representatives from GKN Aerospace and realized that their trainee program offered the opportunity I was looking for. It provided opportunities to work in different parts of the company and even the possibility of working abroad. I’m looking forward to getting to know the company and the industry better and exploring what I want to work with.
